In this article, we propose that the key to authentic evolution lies in a profound internal transformation within each individual, regardless of their context.

In the constant pursuit of a better world, there has been extensive debate on how to change human beings and improve society. However, is it possible to achieve genuine transformation from the outside in? Is modifying the system or environment enough to bring about significant change in ourselves?

Comparing human change to the process of a flower blooming or a chick hatching is enlightening. Forcing a flower to bloom prematurely or breaking an eggshell for a chick to hatch may result in irreparable damage. Similarly, attempting to change people from the outside can create resistance and conflict, as it involves coercion and violence against each individual’s autonomy. Genuine change, on the other hand, must arise from an internal transformation, a natural evolution emanating from the essence of each person, that wants to change for good.

Personal responsibility is another critical factor in the pursuit of true change. Blaming external factors such as the government, capitalism, or society for personal problems and suffering can leave people in a passive and dependent position on external circumstances. In contrast, taking responsibility for one’s problems and taking action to solve them is a more effective approach. Recognizing that problems and solutions lie within each individual implies empowerment and control over one’s destiny. It isn´t easy, but nothing is! Requires goodwill and determination.

Freedom, for us, is a fundamental value in human evolution and helps us as an illustrative example of how genuine change must come from within. Freedom cannot be granted by others, nor does anyone need permission to be free. It is an internal process involving liberating oneself from internal limitations that bind us to the past, wounds, traumas, excessive ambitions, others’ expectations, projections, and illusions. True freedom depends not on the environment or system in which one lives, but on each individual’s ability to free oneself from the internal ties that limit our full development and full potential.

Ultimately, the approach of changing human beings from the outside in, through modifying and imposing systemic or environmental changes, historically has always ended in different forms of direct or indirect forms of authoritarian regimes. That´s why from DSAFE we propose that real change must originate from a deeply wanted internal transformation within each individual's consciousness, regardless of the context in which they find themselves.

In a constantly evolving world with numerous challenges, it is easy to fall into the temptation of seeking external solutions or blaming external factors for our problems and suffering. However, this approach only perpetuates a mentality of dependency and victimization, preventing true growth and personal development. It is time to leave behind the belief that change will come from the outside and recognize that each of us has the power and responsibility to create real change in our lives and the world.

Again, blaming external factors for personal problems and suffering is to stay rooted in passive resistance to true change, which requires assuming responsibility and taking action to solve our problems with intelligence and humanity (both powerful inner resources of all Humans). Freedom is presented as an example of how change must be born from within, freeing oneself from internal limitations.

We can start by taking responsibility for our own thoughts, emotions, actions, and choices and working on our inner transformation. True freedom cannot be granted by others or conditioned by external circumstances. Freedom is a mental and emotional state achieved when we free ourselves from our internal limitations, such as limiting beliefs, fears, attachments, and irrational expectations. It is a constant process of self-awareness, authenticity, and self-reflection.

Real change will not come from the outside but lies within the essence of each individual. It is time to stop blaming external factors and seeking superficial solutions, and instead, look within ourselves and work on a profound inner transformation. Only then can we achieve true freedom and contribute to a significant change in the world around us. By recognizing the power of personal responsibility, self-reflection, and inner growth, we can create a brighter future for ourselves and the generations to come.
